Shiro Judokwai opened its doors on Wednesday 7th October 2012 to allow
individuals to practice judo in either the classical and the Olympic method.
Shiro is Japanese for Castle. In symbolism the castle signifies spiritual power and vigilance
on the watch as well as home and safety. It is a symbol of defense
and of a steadfast individual.
Shiro Judokwai is a sport community exclusively and directly dedicated to
promoting the teaching and practice of traditional freestyle of judo. modern Oltmpic judo and self-defense to adults and
children in a safe and enjoyable manner, without feeling the need to prove our art in
a competitive environment.

the leading judo dojo in promoting a physical and mental well being.
The dojo is registered with the National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE) - School leaving Certificate database. Sensei Joseph Castillo is a qualified instructor and coach accredited by the Malta Judo Federation and the Malta Olympic Committee.
Beginner's classes (Juniors) every Saturday 10:00am till 11:15am and Wednesdays 5:30pm till 6:30pm.
Adults' classes every Wednesday 7:30pm till 9:00pm
